חוצפא
חוֹצַף, חוּצְפָּאm. (חצף) barefacedness, boldness, impudence. Targ. Jer. 3:3. Targ. Y. Num. 16:2; a. e.Sot.49b(IX, 1 5) in the Messianic period ח׳ יסגא impudence will prevail (Snh.97a העזות תרבה). Snh.105a ח׳אפי׳וכ׳ boldness will carry its point even against heaven. Ib. ח׳ מלכותאוכ׳ insolence is a royal power without a crown. B. Bath. 155b, a. e.
